Vintage 1970's Dynatron Radiogram Hifi with Swiss Lenco GL75 Record player. Please note the Dynatron CP1 cassette is not included and is shown for interest purpose and to demonstrate the 2 auxiliary inputs incorporated on the rear panel of the HFC-42. This HFC-42 set comes with rare original Dynatron stand and teak Dynatron 1428 speakers that fit neatly and as designed onto the shelf space below the hifi unit. This system would have been manufactured between 1972 and 1974.It is fitted with new stylus and V- Blocks. The tonearm is feather light and accurate, tracking beautifully at as low as 1.2 grams which speaks for itself. This is as smooth and clean a Lenco tonearm as can be. The plinth is a lovely steel grey colour from factory. The paintwork is in good order. The sound from the system is musical and clean, it is evenly balanced on both channels. The switches and dials are quiet and problem free. The sound will fill a good sized room.
The unit has been disassembled carefully and methodically with every component inside and out thoroughly cleaned. This has involved many hours of (enjoyable) work.
The tinted perspex top fits well and is in beautiful condition for it's age. The hinges are tight and accurate. The teak wood is good on both unit and speakers. These have a little wear and tear and a couple of historic repairs present. The small one inch tear to one of the speaker grills. This does not affect the sound in any way.
There is no radio on this unit but it has inputs for both radio and a second auxiliary where you may want to run a tape or CD etc through the unit. The stand has wear and tear from time and use and is in unrestored condition. The Dynatron brochure is not included unless otherwise agreed in terms of sale. Any demonstration welcome and collection local to Cambridge is encouraged.
